How I see it

First of all, my full name is Rachel Lee Kedinger. I am a sophomore at UWM and I am 19 years old.
I am from Fond du Lac, WI. My goals for this semester are to take in and learn as much as I can about different techniques and how they can help me develope my own sense of style and design ideas. The reason I became a metals major was because ever since I can remember I have been making and creating objects from nothing. When I was younger I would help my dad, who owns a car salvage yard and is a "blacksmith", he would work and let me watch. I always felt the need to take things that looked to be junk and utilize them for my own needs and wants. More recently in high school I became very interested in glass works.Things take time and I am still exploring all the possibilities and finding out what I like best. As of right now I am planning on moving to Montreal, Canada after I graduate to explore a different culture and to see how that will influence me and my career as a metalsmith.
